Troy University’s Grand Reopening in Chesapeake
Chesapeake, VA – Troy University is proud to announce its Grand Reopening and
Ribbon-Cutting ceremony in Chesapeake from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 24,2013.
City officials, media representatives, as well as the public are invited to attend.
Following the formal ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy a tailgate-themed open
house with refreshments, prizes, and the outdoor entertainment of Zl 04 radio station.
The Chesapeake campus of Troy University is located in the former SunTrust Building at
100 Volvo Parkway, Suite 300, Chesapeake, VA 23320 after relocating from Norfolk.
“Our new centrally located office will enable Troy University to provide a range of
services for our online students and more effectively reach adult learners interested in
higher education” said Roger Smith, Troy’s Hampton Roads Area Coordinator.
In Virginia, Troy University offers its courses entirely online. This fully accredited, 126
years old public institution offers a diverse range of programs, including associate’s,
bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as the Doctor of Nursing Practice.
“One of the best ways to stimulate a strong workforce is through education,” said

Troy University in Chesapeake is a strong asset that offers our community more nontraditional
options to advance knowledge and increase opportunity.
